[00:00:35] Speaker B: You know, sometimes the best way to boost your health, maybe feel a bit more secure, isn't some complicated new thing.
[00:00:42] Speaker C: Right? Sometimes it's about connecting with what's already there. Right. In your own community.
[00:00:46] Speaker B: Exactly. And that's pretty much what's on offer in Raleigh very soon.
[00:00:50] Speaker C: Yeah, we're looking at this invitation. It's for the sixth annual Raleigh Community Health, Wellness and Safety Resource Fair, June 7th.
[00:00:58] Speaker B: Mark that down. We basically want to give you the shortcut today, Right?
[00:01:02] Speaker C: A clear picture of what this is and, you know, why you might actually want to clear your schedule for it.
[00:01:07] Speaker B: Definitely forget digging through websites. So. Okay. The fact that it's the sixth year, that tells you something.
[00:01:14] Speaker C: It does. It's not their first rodeo, as they say. Yeah, people must be finding value.
[00:01:19] Speaker B: Well, apparently last year's event was called Amazing. That's pretty strong feedback.
[00:01:23] Speaker C: Wow. Yeah. And those same folks are planning to come back.
[00:01:26] Speaker B: That's what we heard. That speaks volumes. I think consistent engagement like that, it.
[00:01:31] Speaker C: Really suggests they're hitting the mark, meeting a real need in Raleigh. It's like a reliable local resource.
[00:01:37] Speaker B: And it's not just, you know, abstract talk. There are actual things to do there.
[00:01:41] Speaker C: Like what?
[00:01:42] Speaker B: Well, health screenings, for one. Super important. Just staying on top of things.
[00:01:48] Speaker C: Always good to get those checked. Yeah.
[00:01:49] Speaker B: And they're doing something called a compression challenge. I'm kind of curious about that one.
[00:01:54] Speaker C: Hmm. Compression challenge. Maybe something hands on. Learning about benefits for recovery, perhaps. Or circulation. Could be.
[00:02:03] Speaker B: But maybe even more important than the specifics of that.
[00:02:05] Speaker C: Let me guess.
[00:02:06] Speaker B: The cost.
[00:02:07] Speaker C: Exactly. It's absolutely free for attendees and vendors. Completely free.
[00:02:12] Speaker B: That's huge. It really opens it up to everyone. No barrier there.
[00:02:16] Speaker C: None at all. And the timing, it couldn't be much better. Really?
[00:02:19] Speaker B: How so?
[00:02:20] Speaker C: Well, June is safety month.
[00:02:21] Speaker B: Okay. Right.
[00:02:22] Speaker C: And it's also Men's Health month. Ah.
[00:02:23] Speaker B: Okay. Gotcha. Double relevance.
[00:02:25] Speaker C: There plus that first week of June, it's actually CPR and AED awareness week.
[00:02:30] Speaker B: Oh, perfect. Synergy. Then it makes total sense for the fair to happen. Right. Then they can probably leverage that awareness. You'd think so. It feels like a really focused opportunity to engage with all these timely health and safety topics.
[00:02:44] Speaker C: Yeah. Connects the dots nicely.
[00:02:46] Speaker B: Now, what if you listening want to do more than just attend? What if you want to like pitch in?
[00:02:52] Speaker C: Good question. Well, they're looking for volunteers.
[00:02:54] Speaker D: Right.
[00:02:55] Speaker B: That's a fantastic way to give back, isn't it? Be part of making it happen.
[00:02:58] Speaker C: Absolutely. And if you're interested, the sign up info is on the Elf Cares foundation website.
[00:03:03] Speaker B: Okay. What's that address?
[00:03:05] Speaker C: It's www.lfcaresfoundation.com. all one word.
[00:03:10] Speaker B: Got it. Lfcaresfoundation.com so volunteering is one option and.
[00:03:15] Speaker C: The other way to support if maybe volunteering isn't feasible for you is through financial help.
[00:03:20] Speaker B: Ah, donations and sponsors.
[00:03:22] Speaker C: Exactly. They're seeking both to help keep the event free for everyone, which is, you know, a big part of its mission.
[00:03:29] Speaker B: Makes sense. Takes resources to put on something like this, even if it's free to attend.
[00:03:33] Speaker C: For sure. So donations can also be made through that same website.
[00:03:36] Speaker B: LFCaresFoundation.com Yep.
[00:03:38] Speaker C: And if maybe you or your company are thinking about sponsorship, there's an email. It's infofcaresfoundation.com infofcaresfoundation.com Good to know. So multiple ways to get involved or support.
[00:03:52] Speaker B: Seems like it. And they're. They're trying to get the word out pretty widely too.
[00:03:55] Speaker C: Yeah. Where can people find info?
[00:03:57] Speaker B: Well, the main website again, obviously. LFCaresfoundation.com.
[00:04:01] Speaker C: Right.
[00:04:02] Speaker B: Also their Facebook page seems like they're active there. Eventbrite too.
[00:04:07] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:04:07] Speaker B: Standard places and various community calendars around Raleigh. They're trying to cover the bases.
[00:04:12] Speaker C: Sounds like a solid outreach plan.
[00:04:13] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:04:14] Speaker C: To make sure folks know what's happening.
[00:04:15] Speaker B: Yeah, maximizing awareness so people can actually take advantage of it.
[00:04:19] Speaker C: So let's just circle back then. We're Talking about the 6th annual Raleigh Community Health, Wellness and Safety Resource Fair.
[00:04:25] Speaker B: That's the one happening on June 7th.
[00:04:27] Speaker C: And it really does sound like a. Well, a genuinely good opportunity.
[00:04:32] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:04:32] Speaker C: Get proactive about health, learn safety skills.

[00:04:41] Speaker C: Yeah, it really is. It's a concentrated chance to just take a positive step.
[00:04:46] Speaker B: So thinking about June coming up, maybe the question for you listening is this.
[00:04:52] Speaker C: What's that?
